How to Sketch/CUT A Bustier with Asymmetric Neckline and Inset by Wearlala

HOW TO CUT A BUSTIER WITH ASYMMETRIC NECKLINE AND INSET.

Step 1 .
Draft a Bodice

Step 2
Adapt into a an asymmetric bodice

Step 3
Trace out the inset

Note: Dont underestimate basic knowledge. You first need to know how to draft a basic bodice.

  • Draft any bodice of your choice

  • Open the waist darts.
  • Close the bust darts

  • Create an asymmetric neckline on the front pattern

  • Arrange the back pattern

As seen, with zipper allowance folded in.

  • Now place the front pattern On the back as seen, and cut the Asymmetric Neckline together.

  • Close the waist dart on the Left and then draw the style line for the inset

  • Use a tracing wheel to trace out the inset into another paper

  • Traced out pattern

Don’t forget to blend the off shoulder part of the Blouse, by introducing a dart.

  • Final look of the pattern
